I studied nutrition science and public health at the University of Vienna from 2005 until 2010. I had written an extensive thesis on the impact of nutrients and physical activity on obesity and overweight. After that, I began my journey as a fashion designer and I started making several trips to my design studio in my city of birth, Lagos, Nigeria.

The frequent trips led to a constant frustrating concern about the health lifestyle of Africans. I worried that Africans were perhaps misinformed; the myths and stereotypes around overweight, especially those around being abdominally obese were so horrendous that it pained me.

I had the impression that the majority cared about material things so much more than they did about their own body. This magnificent machine that we treat so carelessly, as if dreams and wishes could come true without our body. Our body is the only tool that makes it possible for us to experience and lead life in all its richness.

In 2016, I started the Youtube channel - Eat Right Africa because I was determined to do something. I wanted to ignite positive change in the mental attitude of Africans towards food and health. I started sharing information on Youtube because I could no longer allow myself to do nothing with the acquired knowledge from my first university degree and professional background.

Despite the tedious and rigorous schedule of my career as a fashion designer, I was committed to producing educative videos that enlightened viewers on how to eat right, make healthier choices and prepare food in healthier ways.

Serving others with the knowledge and resources I have has always been a core value for me. I find deep fulfillment in helping people improve their lives. While I worked as a nutritionist and health coach, I guided clients through successful weight-loss journeys; supporting them in reshaping their mindset toward balanced nutrition and sustainable physical activity, not as a one-off diet or event, but as a way of life.
