Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria before moving to Vienna, Austria, at the age of 17, my identity is multifaceted. While I often refer to myself as Viennese, Austrian, I identify as an indigenous Yorùbá woman from southwestern Nigeria, I bring with me a lived connection to one of Africa’s oldest and most vibrant cultures. Though I currently live in Zurich, my worldview, values, and sense of belonging are grounded in the traditions, social structures, and philosophies of the Yorùbá people.
I actively maintain this connection through language, cultural practices, and community engagement.
The Yorùbá people strongly identify with generosity—not just as a virtue, but as a deeply rooted cultural value that reflects community, responsibility, and honour. In Yorùbá culture, generosity is seen as both a social expectation and a spiritual principle.

My values reflect community, responsibility, and honour. In Yorùbá culture, generosity is seen as both a social expectation and a spiritual principle. In traditional Yorùbá societies, individuals are expected to share their resources, time, and care with others—especially with family, neighbours, and those in need. Generosity isn't just optional; it's a marker of good character. The Yorùbá culture emphasises supporting both elders and the younger generation. It’s common for adults to sponsor the education of nieces, nephews, or neighbours' children. Care for ageing parents is also seen as a moral and spiritual obligation.

I strongly believe that each of us has what it takes to make a difference in our communities. Corporate social responsibility starts with personal social responsibility. Philanthropy is not a topic reserved only for millionaires and corporations.
Since 2012, I have been committed to impacting lives by transforming available tangible, or intangible resources to funds or products that meet the needs of children and women in underprivileged communities.
Alongside my full-time managerial role, I am offering free coaching sessions and asking you to compensate for my time by making a donation. Through this creative and heartfelt effort together, we generate support for two impactful Africa-based NGOs with life-changing missions.
The Two NGOs that you help me raise funds for with your donations are Bbanga Project and Kids With a Vision Foundation. (K-WAVF).
Bbanga Project was founded in 2014 by Sani Hassan Hayatbakhsh. It is officially registered in Uganda, Austria, and Germany.
Bbanga Project is dedicated to providing children, youth, and their families on Uganda’s Ssese Islands with better access to education and broader opportunities. The goal is to strengthen local communities and support a self‑determined future for children, crafting a world where the children of today can support
generations that follow.
K-WAVF is a foundation that is focused on raising orphans and vulnerable children in crisis communities in Northern Nigeria. It is based in Jos, Plateau state, and was founded by Grace Adams Solomon in 2006, and is officially registered in Nigeria. Because of your generous donations, more than two years of rent was raised for K-WAVF in 2024. In 2024, Bbanga project received donations to pay school fees for a child on Ssese Island for 28 months.
As a proud Austrian-African who is passionate about education, children and women empowerment across Africa, I pledge to contribute to the future of the African child, whether in small but profound ways, or through great and mighty impact. I dare to say that raising funds to support these missions is the most fulfilling endeavour of my life. With heartfelt gratitude, I want you to know that I do not take your donations for granted.
